1. Is the TRUCK ADSŪ Frame System legal on Trucks?
Yes. Our patented
vinyl banner frame system is legal in the U.S., Canada
and Mexico when placed on both sides of a 102" wide
truck to display advertising space.
|
 |
|
Make sure the banner frame system you install on a truck
does not cause the vehicle to exceed the Department
of Transportation (USDOT)
truck width regulations for trucks operating in
the U.S. All commercial banner frame systems for hire
that we researched, do not comply with the USDOT CFR
23, 658.15 truck width limit.
|

2. My banner and frame size needs to be exact and cannot
be rounded to the nearest inch. Can I specify fractional dimensions?
Yes,
We recognize some banner sizes must be an exact size. If necessary,
when you order a banner, our easy order system lets you specify
the banner size to within 1/8 of an inch, with a tolerance in
overall size of + or - 1/4".
See more about this.
[NOTE: It is best
if you can size the height and width of banners on "even whole
inches". This allows you to avoid the end of a frame landing
on a row of rivets (not safe), because truck box rivets are
usually spaced evenly on "even whole inches".]

3.
What is the TRUCK ADSŪ Frame System guarantee?
We
have a
lifetime frame warranty and will replace any damaged or
defective frame not the result of the purchasers fault for free.
Shipping charges not included. When you buy banners from
us, there is a 2 year guarantee on the inks holding their color.

4. Which frame system costs more - metal frames or TRUCK
ADSŪ Frame System?
Metal frames. When you
compare all factors including, shipment, installation, replacement,
repairs and removal, the metal frame system costs much more
than the TRUCK ADSŪ Flex-Banner Frame System.
|

5. Do TRUCK ADSŪ Frames damage the truck or wall in
any way?
No. The billboard mounting kit is bonded to the mounting
surface which
attaches a banner without damaging the surface. No holes to
fill or paint to touch up.
|
 |
| |
|
|

6. Does the banner need to be stretched as tight
as a drum?
No. Unlike all banner stretching metal frame systems
where the banner must be stretched tight and often times
re-stretched occasionally to stop the banner from banging
the sides of the truck, the
TRUCK
ADSŪ Frame System requires no stretching. During
installation, the flex banner must be "pulled" straight
and square and this is done without tools.
|

|

7.
Does the TRUCK ADSŪ Frame System get dirt and road grime embedded
in it?
No.
The TRUCK ADSŪ FRAMING SYSTEM remains clean and free of dirt
and grime because it is a closed system and there are no pockets
or joints that can fill up with water and dirt. Metal frames
have many groves and pockets that are susceptible to collecting
dirt and grime. This can cause metal frames to freeze up and
difficult to remove with less than 2 crews, changing the banner.

8.
Is it necessary to remove the TRUCK ADSŪ Frame when you sell
your truck or trailer?
No. Our truck side frame system is a value added product for
any truck. That means a 53 foot truck is worth about $1000 more
than it would be without the TRUCK ADSŪ FRAME SYSTEM. It will
likely be useful to the next owner of the truck who can use
it to advertise. You can't say that about metal frames that
look like ugly picture frames, often without a picture; which
makes it even uglier.
|

9. Can the TRUCK ADSŪ Frame be custom fitted around
curves and irregular corners and angles?
Yes. There are many circumstances where you may want
to cut the vinyl into an unusual shape to fit on a wall.
Also, there are many times when the bull nose corners
at the front of the truck are curved and our frame system
will accommodate these special situations beautifully.
Metal frames cannot do this.
|
 |

10.
Are the TRUCK ADSŪ Frames heavy like metal frames?
No.
We have billboard mounting kit sizes from 5 square feet to 900
square feet and our heaviest frame kit which covers the side
of a 53 foot trailer, weighs just 8 pounds.
Compare with metal frames needed for this size trailer weighing
75-150 pounds.

11.
Do TRUCK ADSŪ Frames cause drag and contribute to higher fuel
costs when mounted on a truck?
No. The frame projects less than 1/4" from the sides. Even when
the vinyl banner is not installed there is no wind drag. You
can't say that about some metal frames that have pockets and
can actually cause the metal frame to loosen over time. This
creates a potential safety hazard and higher fuel costs.

12.
How far does the TRUCK ADSŪ Frame project out from the side
of the truck or wall?
Just 3/16". It is less than all other systems available today.
There is no wind drag and less chance the frame system will
be damaged by foreign objects coming in contact with the truck.
The maximum width of a Commercial Motor Vehicle (CMV) is restricted.
Be sure the
frame system you install does not cause your truck to exceed
USDOT regulations or you could be subject to fines for each
violation.

13.
Does the vinyl on a TRUCK ADSŪ frame system ever need to be
re-stretched?
Never.
Unlike metal frames that occasionally require re-stretching,
our system keeps on looking great for as long as it is up. The
vinyl banner in a metal frame system will actually start to
bang against the sides of the truck from the wind after awhile
and will need to re-stretched to prevent this.

14.
What weight vinyl should I use?
The
TRUCK ADSŪ frame system requires a minimum of 12 ounce vinyl
up to 23 ounce maximum. For most applications, we recommend
the 12 ounce vinyl. The lighter the vinyl, the less fuel you
burn up going down the road. Most metal frame manufacturer's
won't recommend 12 ounce vinyl. They use 16, 18, 23 or 28 ounce
vinyl so the vinyl won't loosen so quickly after installation.
Our system with 12 ounce vinyl won't loosen over time because
it is not stretched during installation as required for a metal
frame system. Also, heavier vinyl costs more per square foot.

15.
Is the TRUCK ADSŪ Frame System safe, or will it loosen over
time like metal frames do?
The
TRUCK ADSŪ
billboard attaching system is
strong and safe. It will not
loosen and tear away from the truck body over time. Compare
this with metal frames that are rigid. Metal frames do not breath
with the truck like the TRUCK ADSŪ Frame and over time the rivets
attaching it to the truck will loosen and possibly make the
system unsafe and dangerous.

16.
Can I see what my AD will look like on a Truck before I buy
it?
Yes!
Click here to use our visualization tool. For this tool,
the graphic file size cannot exceed 3mb.
|

17. How do I order TRUCK ADSŪ Frame Kits?
Unlike banner sizes which can be critical,
frame kits can be cut with scissors to fit the exact
banner size. Ordering a frame a couple of inches larger
is not necessary either, because each kit contains the
right amount of frame and SECUR-TABSŪ plus 1-2ft, depending
on the size of the frame ordered.
|
 |

18.
What if I make a mistake and need more frame?
This
happens occasionally, when the frame on the truck is installed
before receiving the banner and confirming the banner size.
Measure twice and cut once is the best method. If you need a
patch frame for the substrate or the banner, go to our home
page and select a black or clear frame from the drop down menu
labeled "Dual Lock and other Products". Frame patch kits come
with all necessary items for proper repairs and replacement.

19.
How strong is the TRUCK ADSŪ Frame System?
Our
proprietary, patented frame system is strong and safe. See technical
bulletin,
How Strong are TRUCK ADSŪ Banner Frame Kits? Our frames
were tested safe by one of the world's leading independent vehicle
testing facilities and have actual drive time is estimated at
over 111,000,000 miles, without failure. The TRUCK ADSŪ Frame
System is safe, so long as installation instructions are followed
and authorized kit components are used. All frames come with
a
lifetime warranty.

20.
Can I use TRUCKADSŪ Frame kits for mounting banners on building
walls?
Yes.
Just order the size you need. Most TRUCK ADSŪ Frame kits on
stationary walls and billboards cost less because less frame
is required for this type of
installation. When ordering for stationary installations,
indicate if the application is for "glass or ceramic" or "other"
surface. If you prefer, purchase
Dual Lock Kits at bulk prices, for stationary installations
only.

21.
What are the mounting surface requirements for the TRUCK ADSŪ
Frame System?
TRUCK
ADSŪ Frames will securely adhere to raw metal, metal with baked
on factory finish, fiberglass, glass and ceramic. Frame will
remain in place until you decide to
remove it. Surface where frame is to be attached must be
a non-porous, smooth flat surface. Do not install TRUCK ADSŪ
Frame directly to wood, brick, concrete or non-baked on painted
surfaces. See
installation instructions for additional details.

22. How long does it take to get my TRUCK ADS Frame Kits
shipped?
Next
day delivery available on credit card orders received by 11am
ET. Available shipping options include next day air, second
day air and ground shipment. Subject to Carrier limits.
