1. Is the TRUCK ADSŪ Frame System legal?
Yes. Our vinyl banner frame may be the
only truck frame in the U.S., Canada
and Mexico that is legal
when placed on both sides of a 102" inch wide truck. TRUCK ADSŪ
has done extensive research regarding this issue. The United
States Department of Transportation (USDOT) has strict
regulations about the legal
width of a truck on all roads in these three countries and most metal frames don't qualify.
2.
What is the
TRUCK ADSŪ
Frame
System guarantee?
We
have a lifetime frame warranty and will replace any damaged
or defective frame not the result of the purchasers fault for
free. Shipping charges not included. As far as we know, TRUCK
ADSŪ offers the only
lifetime
frame warranty
and replacement guarantee at no charge.
3. Which frame system costs more - metal frames or TRUCK
ADSŪ Frame System?
Metal frames. When you
compare all factors including,
shipment, installation, replacement, repairs and removal, the
metal frame system costs much more than the TRUCK ADSŪ Flex-Banner
Frame System.
4.
Do
TRUCK ADSŪ
Frames
damage the truck or wall in any way?
No. The billboard mounting kit is bonded to the mounting surface
and can be
removed without damaging the
surface. No holes to fill or paint to touch up.
5. Does the banner need to be stretched as tight as a drum?
No. Unlike all banner stretching metal frame systems where the
banner must be stretched tight and often times re-stretched
occasionally to stop the banner from banging the sides of the
truck, the
TRUCK ADSŪ Frame System requires
no stretching. During installation, the flex banner must be
"pulled" straight and square and this is done without tools.
6.
Does the
TRUCK ADSŪ
Frame
System get dirt and road grime embedded in it?
No.
TRUCK ADSŪ Frames remain clean and free of dirt and grime because
it is a closed system and there are no pockets or joints that
can fill up with water and dirt. Metal frames have many groves
and pockets that are susceptible to collecting dirt and grime.
This can cause metal frames to freeze up and difficult to remove
when it comes time to change out the banner.

7.
Is it necessary to remove the
TRUCK ADSŪ
Frame
when you sell your truck or trailer?
No. Our frame system is a value added product for any truck.
That means a 53 foot truck is worth about $1000 more than it
would be without the frame system. It will likely be useful
to the next owner of the truck. If they don't use it, the system
remains practically invisible. You can't say that about most
metal frames that look like picture frames without a picture,
when the vinyl isn't installed.
8.
Can the
TRUCK ADSŪ
Frame
be custom fitted around curves and irregular corners and angles?
Yes. There are many circumstances where
you may want to cut the vinyl into an unusual shape to fit on
a wall. Also, there are many times when the bull nose corners
at the front of the truck are curved and our frame system will
accommodate these special situations beautifully. Metal frames
cannot do this.
9.
Are the
TRUCK ADSŪ
Frames
heavy like metal frames?
No. We have billboard mounting kit sizes
from 5 square feet to 900 square feet and our heaviest frame
kit which covers the side of a 53 foot trailer, weighs just
8 pounds.
Compare this to a metal frame
needed for this size trailer, weighing 75-150 pounds.
10.
Do
TRUCK ADSŪ
Frames
cause drag and contribute to higher fuel costs when mounted
on a truck?
No. The frame projects less than 1/4" from the sides. Even when
the vinyl banner is not installed there is no wind drag. You
can't say that about some metal frames that have pockets and
can actually cause the metal frame to loosen over time. This
creates a potential safety hazard and higher fuel costs.
11.
How far does the
TRUCK ADSŪ
Frame
project out from the side of the truck or wall?
Less than 3/16 of an inch. It is less than all other systems
available today. No wind drag and less chance the frame system
will be damaged by foreign objects coming in contact with the
truck. According to
USDOT regulations, the maximum
width of a delivery truck cannot exceed 102.36". Be sure the
frame system you choose is legal
and does not cause your truck to exceed these limits or you
could be asking for trouble if your truck is in an accident
or your driver is pulled over for a traffic violation.
12.
Does the vinyl on a
TRUCK ADSŪ
frame
system ever need to be re-stretched?
Never.
Unlike metal frames that occasionally require re-stretching,
our system keeps on looking great for as long as it is up. The
vinyl banner in a metal frame system will actually start to
bang against the sides of the truck from the wind after awhile
and will need to re-stretched to prevent this.
13.
What weight vinyl should I use?
The
TRUCK ADSŪ frame system requires a minimum of 12 ounce vinyl
up to 23 ounce maximum. For most applications, we recommend
the 12 ounce vinyl. The lighter the vinyl, the less fuel you
burn up going down the road. Most metal frame manufacturer's
won't recommend 12 ounce vinyl. They use 16, 18, 23 or 28 ounce
vinyl so the vinyl won't loosen so quickly after installation.
Our system with 12 ounce vinyl won't loosen over time because
it is not stretched during installation as required for a metal
frame system. Also, heavier vinyl costs more per square foot.
14.
Is the
TRUCK ADSŪ
Frame
System safe, or will it loosen over time like metal frames do?
The
TRUCK ADSŪ frame system is
strong and safe. It will not
loosen and tear away from the truck body over time. Compare
this with metal frames that are rigid. Metal frames do not breath
with the truck like the TRUCK ADSŪ Frame and over time the rivets
attaching it to the truck will loosen and possibly make the
system unsafe and dangerous.
